Sectors and incentives
Does a cool roof suit every building?
Every building with a flat or low-slope roof and a compatible substrate: steel deck, bitumen membrane, EPDM, asbestos-free fibre cement. Industry, logistics, retail, offices, public buildings, agriculture and housing all qualify; only the sizing of the gain differs.
Which sectors qualify for French incentives?
The energy-savings certificate sheet BAT-EN-112 targets commercial buildings whose volume is heated and cooled by a heat pump: shops, shopping centres, some hotels and offices. It does not apply as such to industry, logistics or agriculture; public bodies can use the Fonds Vert under conditions.
